Relations between Transducer Output Signals in Strain and Voltage

The output of a transducer is expressed in either equivalent strain (×10-6 strain) or voltage (mV/V or  μV/V) per excitation voltage.
They have the following relation :

TS21

Thus, the equivalent strain output and voltage output always have a relation of 2:1.
E.g. 1.5 mV/V = 1500 μV/V → 3000 ×10-6 strain

Because equivalent strain has no relationship with mechanical strain, which is calculated based on the length rate of change L/L, it is equivalent to strain and is therefore named accordingly.
